Mohammad Abd-Battat is an Iraqi freelance journalist and photographer. He is the first photographer who enters the city of Khoramshahr in the very first days of the imposed war against Iran. He who comes to Iran with the 3rd unit of Iraq’s army and who is personally present in the battlefield, sees the war of a Muslim nation against another Muslim nation his greatest concern and problem. In spite of the fact that he comes from the Iraqi army, his awakened conscience prevents him from not narrating real truths of the battlefield. He speaks about the valiant and heroic battles in which Iranian soldiers succeed to seize Khoramshahr city back again and have the control of the city in their own hands. Mr. Battat also illustrates the brutality and cruelty the Iraqi Generals had over Iran’s nation. In this documentary, he kindly invites us to witness his photos and memories of war days.
