Kashmir is truly named a paradise on earth. It is a magnificent place with unique rivers and lakes in the heart of Himalaya Mountains which catches every beholder’s eyes and astonishes his/her. Kashmir is called “ small Iran” in history and this is due to cultural bonds between the two nations during the last centuries, that is, from the time the first Iranian missionaries stepped into this land in the 8th century and conveyed to people not only the religion of Islam but Iran’s great treasure of culture and civilization. It was then that diverse Iranian groups began to distribute and give out all the issues including Persian language and literature, handcraft, architecture and generally Persian art in different parts of Kashmir and in fact most probably this very historical background is the reason why Iran and the Islamic Revolution have enjoyed great popularity among people of Kashmir. The documentary series “Kashmir, the Forgotten Paradise” relates the story of the affiliation between people in Iran and Kashmir in past and present times.
